Cyber-bullying is being considered to be as a new criminal legislation due to all the suicides hat have been going on lately. sadly police officers don't seem to be happy with that because on their eyes all they see is little kids trying to offend each others.  Ryan Broll talks about how cyber-bullying has been affecting families and kids at schools and how that needs to be handle with precaution due to kids now a days. Broll states that cyber-bullying can affect anyone out there, from kids to adults there is not specific ages anyone can get involve in that circle. Broll states "police officers prefer to take a preventative approach by educating youth and raising awareness about the dangers of digital communications." The only problem here is that not everyone learns the easy way, my question is What is going to happen to those that are not aware of how much danger they can cause to others via Internet?

Exploring abortion attitudes of US adolescents and young adults using social media.

This article talks about the attitudes of adolescents and how they feel about abortion these days. the problem comes when the majority of them have no idea on how to take care of a baby but do know how to operate a computer. Altshuler says "Similar to the general population, the study population’s abortion views fell on a spectrum with overall supportive attitudes toward abortion. The media served as common sources of information for learning about both sex and abortion.'' it is pretty hard to see how society has been changing over the time. now adolescents think that is okay to abort an innocent creature; the author says that is caused due to the education they receive from their families. Also, they think that way due to how much time they spend on the internet learning things they shouldn't without any type of supervision.

Social Media Revolution

A reunion with boredom

In Charles Simics' essay "A reunion with boredom" he writes about how his life has change as a result of technology. He discuses how when the power goes out he is reminded of being bored in his youth. Simic writes,"Even so, looking back now, i realize how much i owe to my boredom." Simic means that during the times he was bored, he had an opportunity to read and be creative, to come "face to face with myself in a mirror." (2014,p.375) however, he suggests that these times are rare anymore because of our reliance on TV. The internet and other ways of  communication.

I agree with Simic, now a days it is really hard to get bored. every time the power goes out, I am reminded of when i was back home. How I had all the time in the world to do outside activities with family and friends. It gets  really hard to see people spending time together like before, because now we have so many different devices and so many different ways of entertaining ourselves that we rarely think on going out. like Simic would say "we are only puppets jerked this way and that way by whatever device we might think we are operating."

this article talks about how each generation now a days is more familiar and more dependent upon the Internet. The number of U.S. Internet users increased 257% between 2000 and in 2012, the Pew Research Center Internet & American Life Survey indicated that approximately 90% of U.S. youth and young are more likely to be addicted than those who grew up without this benefit. It is more than clear that having access to the internet can benefit students and many others out there by amplifying the access to a variety of information, it builds, entertains, and structures communication among society.  However, using the internet in a daily basis innumerous times a day can cause serious consequences for an increasing number of people. Rising to the level of pathological internet use (PIU) or internet addiction (IA) carrying negative consequences to those of other behavioral addiction.
