this article talks about how each generation
now a days is more familiar and more dependent upon the Internet. The number of
U.S. Internet users increased 257% between 2000 and in 2012, the Pew Research Center
Internet & American Life Survey indicated that approximately 90% of U.S.
youth and young are more likely to be addicted than those who grew up without
this benefit. It is more than clear that having access to the internet can
benefit students and many others out there by amplifying the access to a
variety of information, it builds, entertains, and structures communication
among society. However, using the internet
in a daily basis innumerous times a day can cause serious consequences for an
increasing number of people. Rising to the level of pathological internet use
(PIU) or internet addiction (IA) carrying negative consequences to those of other
behavioral addiction.
